I am wondering these days if anyone will still want to hear about joining a webinar in the future, since we have been flooded by them for the past 6 weeks. I confess to have taken part to two of them (with friends I enjoy working with, The Futures Agency, StratX and NEOMA). But webinars hardly offer a cheap (in all senses of the word) substitute for real “press the flesh” encounters where people meet, create connections and grow together, tying links for the highest benefit of their organization.
With webinars, it is as if Leadership Development had become as basic as Facebook (an app known for the high and well informed quality of the reflections spread on it) where anyone having an opinion organizes a happening.
So when a client suggested to me, in the tsunami of the “Have a look at this one”, another clip, I have parked it into my knowledge file. And I was lucky enough to randomly retrieve it.
There are two reasons why I want to share it with you today:
- This TED talk lasts 03’44’’ in total!
- It praises the “humble narcissistic”, which I think is a good balance between the humble and vulnerable leadership demonstrated by the “larger than life” efficient Corona-Leaders I have observed and reported upon in my last post and it offers a space for those strong, entrepreneurial visionaries without whom the World wouldn’t progress.
Needless to say more. Enjoy the clip!
