Claire is a senior level consultant, facilitator, coach and Vice President of Transformation Strategies, Inc., a leadership development and organizational change consulting firm in Washington, DC. She holds a BA in Psychology and Sociology and an MA in Human Resource Development from The George Washington University.
Claire’s clients indicate she has an amazing way of connecting with all levels of the organization and the ability to engage them in new ways of interacting and doing business. She is a high energy facilitator, consultant and coach. She has an extensive business background, having worked for 10 years in internal organization development consulting across many different industries including higher education, health and mortgage insurance and telecommunications.
Claire has worked closely with many business leaders addressing a variety of leadership topics including employee satisfaction, change management, facilitation, team development, conflict resolution and coaching. Her areas of special interest include assessing organizational culture and helping organizations engage in processes to take steps toward creating preferred places to work. In 1999 she co-authored a chapter in the Linkage Inc’s Best Practices in Organization and Human Resources Development Handbook documenting a focused employee retention initiative utilizing career development, leadership development and team contracts as tools for creating a preferred place of employment in the telecom industry.
Currently, as Vice President of Transformation Strategies she is responsible for the ongoing refinement of the Leadership in Action and the Alignment in Action processes. Her clients include a wide range of corporate, non profit and government organizations including: Pearson, plc., LEAP Wireless, SWIFT, USDA, Gettysburg College, and The American College of Cardiology, among others.
Claire is an American citizen who has lived in New York, Washington, DC and California. She has travelled extensively in the United States and abroad and enjoys experiencing different cultures. She is a student of Martial Arts and holds the rank of Second Degree black belt and training instructor in Tae Kwon Do. She is the married to Steve Meany and is the mother of 2 mischievous boys, Shay (9) and Paolo (7). She currently resides in the Washington, DC area.
