It is with that sentence that Taïg Khris closed his moving TED-x Beau-Soleil speech this Thursday (http://www.tedxcollegebeausoleil.com/).

I guess that what matters most to most of us, parents, is the education of those we love the most in this world, our children. And when it was time to choose a school that would provide our daughter with far more than “just” academic support, my wife and I chose Beau-Soleil. The fact that academic performance was only one of the four educational pillars (next to sports challenges such as climbing the Kilimandjaro to test will and resilience as well as teamwork, Social skills with the school’s foundation demanding that every student spends part of their year working in one of the centers in very poor regions of the globe, and sociability, where the children are encouraged to understand that tomorrow’s world will require them to act more sociably) convinced us.
So it was with pleasure that three of my partners (Gerd Leonhard, Nick McRoberts, Taïg Khris) and I accepted to come and talk to this TED-x session organised by the school for its students around the theme of success.

Taïg Khris has a wonderful and unusual story to tell the world. It is a story of how a young child chose to overcome his inferiority complex, how and young man managed not to let “circumstances” (French politicians, French administration, sponsors, suppliers and the discouragement of his own team) ruin his dream: Jumping down from the Eiffel Tower on his roller…

I warmly encourage you to look at this fresh (edited last night) video clip from Taïg’s talk:

Have a great week all, mine will be in Lorient and Nîmes.
